The latest Diablo IV blog post reveals that Blizzard will be "sharing patch notes at least a week prior to launch" so the team can have "meaningful conversations" with players. In the future, if something in the game becomes overpowered it will be kept until "compelling alternatives" are available - unless it's an exploit or bug, which will be snuffed out quickly. We ourselves know that it's not the greatest play experience for players out there." Fletcher went on to say that the team doesn't plan to roll out a patch like that "ever again." According to associate game director Joe Piepiora, the changes to cooldown reduction and vulnerable damage were necessary so they wouldn't remain the most important stats for meta builds, although Piepiora acknowledged that power reductions are "never a good experience." Game director Joe Shelly revealed that Blizzard's goal is to make Diablo IV more fun for players. During a recent Campfire Chat, associate community management director Adam Fletcher said: "We know it is bad. While the recent patch was certainly an infuriating one, it's refreshing to see Blizzard take ownership of the mistake and discuss ways to remedy the issues introduced.
